E-cigarettes more harmful than conventional cigarettes – Deputy Commissioner

“E-cigarettes are currently becoming a fashion. The younger generation is turning into e-cigarettes. Research shows that E-cigarettes are far more harmful than conventional cigarettes. Therefore, public awareness should be raised to control e-cigarettes.” Said  Deputy Commissioner of Chattogram District Mohammad Elias Hossen while he was present as chief guest in a sharing meeting on “Implementation of Tobacco Control Law in Chattogram District” organized by YPSA.

The meeting was held at the Conference room of DC Office on 26 November 2019. Civil Surgeon Dr Shek Fazle Rabbi presided over the meeting. Additional Deputy commissioner Mr A Z M Sharif hossen moderated the program . YPSA Tobacco control program officer Mohammad Omar Shahed Hero presented the key note paper by multimedia presentation. Councillors, Journalist, Governments officials, Hotel-Restaurants owners association members, Ctg Metropolitan bus owners association members attended the meeting.
