Tuberculosis (TB) Control Program

Tuberculosis is as old as human civilization. TB can be traced back by forensic autopsy from the mummies in Egypt to Vampires of Austria. Bangladesh finds itself in the 6th position among the highest TB burden countries. Due to highest density of population, low socio -economical status and poverty and illiteracy Bangladesh seems to be in the blue book of TB. MDR TB AND XDR TB is in the horizon. And it is 1000 times more fatal than general tuberculosis. YPSA in collaboration  with BRAC and GFATM is implementing PPM activities related to TB control fro August 2010.
