Mentor (Education)
YPSA is implementing a project titled “Youth from Host Communities and Rohingya Camps in Cox’s Bazar as Agents of Change” project (YPSA-YHCRCCAC Project)” at Teknaf in Cox’s Bazar. The project is being implemented with fund from the Federal German Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and technical support from Plan International Bangladesh.
Job Title: Mentor (Education)
Duration: Up to 31 October 2025 (High possibility of extension)

Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Support Education needs assessment as needed in intervention target areas
- Highlight Basic & FLN Education package, Youth Engagement related issues requiring an immediate or medium-term response and inform the Technical Officer.
- Assist in FLN/Basic, Youth facilitators and mentors training in coordination with the TO’s.
- Track the progress of activities and provide regular update to the TO-Education.
- Visit programme/project sites on regular basis to supervise and monitor Community Base Learning facility related activities in the affected communities.
- Participate in programme meeting and CiC meeting at camp level.
- Gather and provide information for progress reports to ensure timely implementation of FLN, Basic education, Youth Engagement and learning activities.
- Facilitate in identifying children out of school with plan to return to schools or the non-formal education system.
- Assist the TO-Education in data collection and storage
- Support the monitoring and reporting of major concerns on Education and as well as child protection concerns inside and around the learning centres/spaces.
- Ensure early and rigorous implementation of quality and accountability mechanisms.
- Visiting learning canters regularly, finding gaps and assisting quality delivery of education activities through mentoring and coaching.
- Conducting monthly parent meeting, TLC, CMC meeting and parenting sessions.
- Assist teacher to ensure class management, centre management and pedagogy.
- Helping teachers to update all the register and regulation appropriately.
- Properly implementation youth lead and awareness raising activity at field level.
Response Reporting & Evaluation
Support reporting and evaluation of FLN/Basic programmes output and outcome results achievement.
Information and Co-ordination:
- Provide regular updates to TOs and the Project Coordinator on progress, priorities and constraints – verbally and in writing on an agreed frequency.
- Engage and follow up with relevant implementation manager(s).
Education: Bachelor / Master from any recognized University.
Experiences & Skills of persons:
- Minimum 2 Years’ experience of working in similar position at Camp or in the Host Community.
- Strong knowledge of community mobilization and field level activities.
- Strong participatory and qualitative session facilitation skills, including consultation with different types of peoples like Member of UP, Chairman, Social Elite of the Host Community and Majhi, influential people of Rohingya community.
- Experience and willingness to work in Rohingya Camp & Host Community at Teknaf.
- Understanding and previous experience of EiE especially community level/camp level
- Fluency in Chittagonian language is required.
- We are highly encouraging to the quality female candidate.
Monthly Incentive: 25,000/- to 27,000/-.
Job Location: Host Community & Refugee Camp with frequent travel to Teknaf office.
