YPSA is implementing a project titled SHIKHA: Creating public and private spaces free from gender-based violence, bullying and sexual harassment through strengthening prevention and response mechanisms in Chattogram district in partnership with BRAC. YPSA is inviting application from the experienced professionals with proven track record for the following position for the Project.

Job responsibilities:
- Lead, coordinate and manage the project and provide day to day strategic and technical guidance to the project team members to implement the project activities
- Develop project plan, budget projection, project implementation guideline and project report in English
- Facilitate staff capacity development initiative through meeting, training, and workshop and on job training
- Facilitate the risk analysis and mitigation measures on GBV and safeguarding, developing safeguarding and anti GVB and SH prevention policies and procedures for prevention, response and reporting of GBV, sexual harassment and bullying incidents for education institutions (School & University).
- Develop a GBV prevention action plan and promote its implementation in schools through evidence generated in the action (child safeguarding).
- Facilitate Consultation meeting with education institutions for developing GBV prevention action plan
- Facilitate orientation meetings and follow up meetings with District and Upazilla Education Officers, at secondary schools on the need to implement safeguarding training programs in schools.
- Provide technical and strategic guideline for ensuring the guiding principles of GBV including ensuring safety of GBV survivor, ensuring confidentiality, respecting the GBV survivor, and practicing non-discrimination.
- Provide technical and strategic guideline to strengthen knowledge and community support to build a protective environment for GBV and to create public and private spaces free from gender-based violence (GBV), bullying and sexual harassment (SH) through strengthening prevention and response mechanisms
- Ensure all deliverables of the project through periodic reviews and disseminate findings among relevant stakeholders
- Maintain linkage with local administration, related GO, City Corporation, education department, NGOs, civil society and other stakeholders
- Maintain the effective coordination and communication with donor and YPSA management
- Provide direction and support to project team to ensure the standards of project activities
- Ensure that the project activities comply with the policies and regulations of the donor and the organization
- Supervise, monitor and evaluate the project, work and performance of staff and take concrete steps to improve job performance.
- Maintain gender-sensitive approach in all stages and maintain safeguarding measures
- Any other task assigned by the Management
Qualifications and experience:
- Master’s Degree in any subject; preferably in Women & Gender studies/Development Studies from a recognized University
- At least 5 years experience in the development field along with 4 year experiences in project management.
- Knowledge and experience to work with education sector on GBV
- Demonstrate very strong leadership and management skills and ability to work in the team.
- Sound knowledge of project cycle management
- Excellent planning, analytical, organizational and decision making skills
- Good working relationships with colleagues, partners, external actors and allies
- Excellent communication skills including a high level of written and spoken English
- Conversant in common IT applications (MS word, MS power point, internet browsing & e-mail communications)
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure and meet deadlines
Monthly consolidated Salary: BDT. 59,724/
