Project Officer (Training and Campaign)

YPSA is implementing a project titled SHIKHA: Creating public and private spaces free from gender-based violence, bullying and sexual harassment through strengthening prevention and response mechanisms in Chattogram district in partnership with BRAC.  YPSA is inviting application from the experienced professionals with proven track record for the following position for the Project.

Job Title: Project Officer (Training and Campaign)

Job location: Chattogram

Duration: 1st February 2025 to 31st January 2029

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop Training and campaign plan for the project
  • Develop guideline for training, orientation and awareness sessions on GBV issue
  • Work with education institutions (School & University) and local administration to implement the project
  • Conduct training program for teachers, SMC, parents, youth club & leaders and provide support in facilitating safeguarding awareness sessions for students
  • Support to implement safeguarding awareness sessions on prevention of GBV, SH, and bullying for students in schools and peer leader selection
  • Support to arranging quarterly extra-curricular activities (debate, drama etc.) on prevention of GBV, bullying, and SH for Schools as per of communications initiative
  • Conduct Safeguarding Awareness Training with Faculty Members, HR and administration staff in universities
  • Develop SBCC materials for sessions with students (Age specific materials)
  • Develop capacity and mobilize existing Youth clubs, youth volunteers to works as change agent for addressing GBV at their own localities.
  • Support to youth led initiatives that create an enabling environment for GBV free society
  • Strengthen youth networks, organizations, and activists with technical assistance to develop partnerships and expand their networks and initiatives.
  • Provide need-based support in problem solving, key decision making, quality control, technical input and advice as well as planning, executing, monitoring of the project activities.
  • Maintain effective communication, coordination and collaboration with GoB/NGOs officials, relevant government departments and local representative.
  • Participate and support to facilitate different meeting, training workshop organized by different stakeholders.
  • Supervise, monitor and evaluate the project work and performance of staff and take concrete steps to improve job performance of Field staff
  • Maintain gender-sensitive approach in all stages of program implementation.
  • Integrate protection safeguarding measures throughout program design.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Master’s degree in any subject
  • At least 04 years working experience in NGO particularly in GBV related Project
  • Experience to work with Education Institutions
  • Experiences in designing, developing campaign plan and SBCC materials
  • Experiences on field supervision and team management
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, positive and professional attitude.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Monthly consolidated Salary: BDT. 42,610/-
