This is for the information of the general public that Young Power in Social Action (YPSA) (www.ypsa.org) is a government-registered, non-profit, non-governmental voluntary organization established in the year 1985, which was declared as the International Youth Year by the United Nations. As a licensed institution under the Microcredit Regulatory Authority (MRA) (Certificate No: 022990124900335), YPSA has been operating microfinance activities in various regions of the country. YPSA’s microfinance program is currently being operated for a long time through 76 approved branches in 8 districts of the Chittagong division (Chittagong, Rangamati, Khagrachari, Bandarban, Cox’s Bazar, Feni, Comilla, and Chandpur). Outside of these, YPSA has no branches, sub-branches, or representatives for its microfinance program in any other division or district of Bangladesh, and there are currently no plans to open any new branches.

Recently, it has come to our attention that some circles are attempting to open and operate fake branches in various parts of the country by exact-copying official materials, including YPSA’s name, logo, signboard, MRA certificate number, and member loan and savings passbooks. This fraudulent group is attempting to collect money under the guise of savings and other deposits by luring the general public with easy-term loans, member enrollment, and promises of high profits, which is completely illegal, fraudulent, and against the law. YPSA has absolutely no involvement with such unauthorized and illegal activities.

If encountered outside of YPSA’s 76 approved branches, you are requested to verify the validity of the respective branch before any member enrollment, savings deposit, or financial transaction. If anything suspicious is found, please immediately inform the local government administration, law enforcement agencies, and YPSA’s head office regarding the fraud.

এতদ্বারা সর্বসাধারণের অবগতির জন্য জানানো যাচ্ছে যে, স্থায়ীত্বশীল উন্নয়নের জন্য সংগঠন ইয়ং পাওয়ার ইন সোশ্যাল অ্যাকশন (ইপসা) www.ypsa.org জাতিসংঘ ঘোষিত আন্তর্জাতিক যুববর্ষ ১৯৮৫ সনে প্রতিষ্ঠিত ও সরকার-নিবন্ধিত বেসরকারী অলাভজনক স্বেচ্ছাসেবী সংস্থা। ইপসা মাইক্রোক্রেডিট রেগুলেটরী অথরিটি (এমআরএ) (সনদ নং: ০২২৯৯০১২৪৯০০৩৩৫) এর সনদপ্রাপ্ত প্রতিষ্ঠান হিসেবে দেশের বিভিন্ন অঞ্চলে ক্ষুদ্র অর্থায়ন কার্যক্রম পরিচালনা করে আসছে। ইপসা’র ক্ষুদ্র অর্থায়ন কর্মসূচি বর্তমানে চট্টগ্রাম বিভাগের ৮টি জেলায় (চট্টগ্রাম, রাঙ্গামাটি, খাগড়াছড়ি, বান্দরবান, কক্সবাজার, ফেনী, কুমিল্লা ও চাঁদপুর) ৭৬ টি অনুমোদিত শাখার মাধ্যমে দীর্ঘদিন যাবত পরিচালিত হচ্ছে। এর বাইরে বাংলাদেশের অন্য কোনো বিভাগ বা জেলায় ইপসা’র ক্ষুদ্র অর্থায়ন কর্মসূচির কোনো শাখা, উপশাখা বা প্রতিনিধি নেই এবং নতুন কোন শাখা খোলার আপাতত পরিকল্পনা নেই।

সম্প্রতি আমাদের দৃষ্টিগোচর হয়েছে যে, ইপসা’র নাম, লোগো, সাইনবোর্ড, এমআরএ সনদ নম্বর, সদস্যদের ঋণ ও সঞ্চয়ের পাসবইসহ ইত্যাদি দাপ্তরিক উপকরণ হুবহু নকল করে দেশের বিভিন্ন স্থানে ভুয়া শাখা খোলা ও পরিচালনা করার চেষ্টা করছে। উক্ত প্রতারক চক্র সাধারণ জনগণকে সহজ শর্তে ঋণ প্রদান, সদস্য ভর্তি এবং উচ্চ মুনাফার প্রলোভন দেখিয়ে সঞ্চয় ও অন্যান্য আমানতের নামে অর্থ সংগ্রহ করার চেষ্টা করছে, যা সম্পূর্ণ অবৈধ, প্রতারণামূলক ও আইনবিরোধী। ইপসা’র সাথে কোনোভাবেই এ ধরনের কোন অনুমোদন বিহীন ও বেআইনি কাজের সংশ্লিষ্টতা নেই। ইপসা’র অনুমোদিত ৭৬ টি শাখার বাইরে সন্দেহজনক হলে যে কোন সদস্য ভর্তি, সঞ্চয় জমা, আর্থিক লেনদেন এর পূর্বে সংশ্লিষ্ট শাখার বৈধতা যাচাই করার জন্য অনুরোধ করা হলো। সন্দেহজনক হলে নিকটস্থ সরকারি প্রশাসন, আইন-শৃঙ্খলা রক্ষাকারী বাহিনী এবং ইপসা’র প্রধান কার্যালয়ে প্রতারণার বিষয়টি অতিদ্রুত অবহিত করুন।
