Case Management Officer
YPSA is implementing a project titled “Youth from Host Communities and Rohingya Camps in Cox’s Bazar as Agents of Change” project (YPSA-YHCRCCAC Project)” at Teknaf in Cox’s Bazar. The project is being implemented with fund from the Federal German Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and technical support from Plan International Bangladesh.
Job Title: Case Management Officer
Duration: Up to 31 October 2025 (High possibility of extension)
No. of Vacancy: 2 (1 Female & 1 Male)
Key responsibilities:
- Implementation of case management activities for Rohingya crisis affected children in need of protection in refugee camps
- Identify individual cases through regular presence in the community and accept referrals from other agencies and community partners;
- Conduct initial (rapid) assessments for CP cases and prioritize them according to the risk level;
- Develop an individual action plan for each child that respond to needs addressed in initial and comprehensive assessments and seek support of the Case Management Supervisor whenever necessary;
- Regularly follow up the assigned case to ensure all services and action points listed in the case plan are carried out within agreed timeframes. Ensure that progress is regularly reviewed.
- Regularly monitor and provide support to children and families through family/home visits, providing guidance, advice and emotional support, community mediation and referrals;
- Work closely with the Case Management supervisor to arrange case conferences for complex cases and ensure children receive multidisciplinary support;
- Manage cases in line with Case management SOPs, adhere to standard documentation processes and follow best practice guidance;
- Regularly document cases using agreed upon forms, update databases to ensure a comprehensive record of the case;
- Ensure that data collection and storage respect data protection protocols and confidentiality principle;
- Ensure safe data inputs to Child protection information management system (CPIMS+)
- Ensure that the permission to proceed with the case management from both the child and the parent and/or caregiver is sought;
- Identify and network with external service providers and ensure that an effective referral system in the refugee camps and host communities is made available for children and their family members in compliance with the framework;
- Facilitate training on PSS and Case Management activity in the camps and host community with the volunteers and also in the community.
- Facilitate family tracing and re-unification of all children that require the service as per the child protection sub sector guidelines
- Establish and maintain positive and efficient relations with target beneficiaries, community members and all the other actors operating in the camp. Seek for synergies to optimize resources and time and strengthening services for the beneficiaries whenever possible;
- Participate in surveys and data collection when required;
- He/She directly supervise case management volunteers in camp level.
- Closely work with field officers, Union facilitators, Mentors, Center facilitators and Camp volunteers.
- Ensure timely submission of weekly plans and reports to the line manager;
Child Protection
- Promote, and ensure project activities are on line with, child protection principles
- Ensure the project activities are integrated in the Bangladeshi child protection system and humanitarian coordination practices and guidelines.
- Report serious cases of abuse on children identified by the project team to the management team. Strict confidentiality must be respected.
Coordination and representation
- Work in close collaboration with humanitarian actors and governmental authorities as per need;
- Coordinates with other sectors to ensure mainstreaming, coordination and optimal implementation of activities;
- Participate in forum and meetings held at site level in her/his field of expertise, when relevant and necessary.
Education: Bachelor / Master’s from any recognized University.
Experience
- At least 3 years’ direct experience on case management activity.
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
NGO/INGO, Humanitarian Agency. - Proven Center management skills, including supervision, monitoring and evaluation for CM & PSS volunteers.
- Have proven experience of training facilitation and communication skills to dealing with CM and PSS participants.
Additional Requirements
- Knowledge on the Rohingya refugee crisis and Response.
- Understanding of child protection and participation
- Good training or facilitation skills
- Basic IT knowledge (Microsoft Office, Internet);
- Previous experience with child protection organization is desirable;
- Community engagement and participation
- Good communication and networking skills
- Ability to speak Chittagong/Rohingya, Bengali, English both written and verbal is an added advantage.
- Ability to work under stressful condition and adaptive to local culture and situation
Compensation & Other Benefits: Mobile bill, Festival Bonus

Monthly consolidated salary: 44,000/- to 47,480/-
