The advocacy strategy development and action planning workshop has been conducted in Chittagong on 16th September 2009. Councilors, Journalist, NGO activist, CBOs and doctor from Feni, Cox’s Bazar, Comilla and Chittagong City Corporation have participated in the workshop. The present status of tobacco and smoking in Bangladesh, harmful effect of tobacco and smoking, advocacy process, strategies and tools have been discussed in the workshop. At the end of the workshop, participants have prepared action plan divided into 4 working groups. Each group have presented their action plan and discussed on it. Mr. Aminul Islam Sujon from WBB Trust and Mr. Akber Reza, Program specialist of YPSA and Ms. Nasim Banu, Team leader have facilitated the workshop.
