YPSA, ADP, World Vision Bangladesh, Potenga Disability development forum and MAISHA jointly organized human chain and prayer vigil for the victims of Cyclone struck on 29 April 1991. On the night of 29 April a powerful tropical cyclone struck the Chittagong district of southeastern Bangladesh with winds of around 250 km/h. The storm forced a 6 meter storm surge inland over a wide area, killing at least 138,000 people and leaving as many as 10 million homeless. Students from school and colleges, service holders, civil society representatives attended the human chain and created public awareness of natural disaster and preparedness displaying play cards, banners and festoons.
