YPSA observed “International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking” on 26 July at Chittagong. Department of Narcotics Control, Bangladesh Government, YPSA and other NGOs jointly organized Human Chain and discussion session to mark the day. Government Officials, representatives from NGOs, Civil society, target population and individuals attended the Human Chain. A Discussion Session was organized at the Zilla Parishad Auditorium. Mr. A.K.M Shawkat Islam, Deputy Director, Department of Narcotics Control, Cittagong, inaugurated the discussion session. Mr. Khushi Mohan Bishwas, Additional Director of Narcotics Control presided the session. Md. Sirajul Hoq Khan, Divisional Commissioner of Chittagong was present as Chief Guest. Mr.Md Moniruzzaman, Police commissioner of Chittagong, Ward Counselor Ms.Rekha Alam, Mr. Zakaria, President of Human Rights Commission, were present in the discussion meeting.
