“Human trafficking is a crime against humanity. Every year, thousands of men, women and children fall into the hands of traffickers. Prevention of human trafficking crimes requires raising awareness through enforcing law, supporting education, activating the role of civil society groups and voluntary work at the grassroots level.” Speakers say in a stakeholder meeting titled “Together We Can End Human Trafficking” held at YPSA’s Transit Home, Chittagong on 23 December 2012 with the support of Winrock International and USAID..
“Government of Bangladesh recently enacted comprehensive anti-trafficking law that is Human Trafficking Deterrence and Suppression Act 2012. People are not aware of the act yet. But it should be ensured that all level of people can be aware of this law” speakers added.

Mahabubur Rahman, Director, YPSA, Mr. Sirajuddin Belal, Program Officer, YPSA and representatives from different NGOs were present in the meeting.
