Director General of NGO Affairs Bureau visits YPSA

“Enormous development of a country is not possible for its government alone. Besides the government, voluntary non-profit organizations are working in different sectors including climate change, advancement of disadvantage poor people, disaster management, good governance and human rights in our country.  National and international nongovernmental organizations have been working around the country in the root level for long as development partners and they are playing active role to make Digital Bangladesh. In the greater Chittagong, YPSA has been implementing various development programs and playing active role in poverty alleviation and socio-economic development” said Md. Nurun Nabi Talukder, Director General, NGO Affairs Bureau under Prime Minister’s Office, Bangladesh while he was addressing a meeting after visiting various activities of YPSA on 18 June 2014.

The chief executive of YPSA Md. Arifur Rahman presented YPSA’s 30 years journey into development sector and its future plan in the meeting.

“Success of development interventions in our country depends on voluntary approach and intended mentality” said Mr. Talukder.

“NGOs should do their works with completely voluntary manner” he added.

He urged YPSA to broaden its activities in future giving the highest priority of eliminating child labor and ensuring education for all.

Mr. Talukder visited YPSA’s ICT and Resource Center on Disability and Aungshee (A sales center of grassroot enteprenior’s products) at YPSA Head Office.

Md. Mahabubur Rahman, Director (SD) and Mr. Palash Chowdhury, Director (Finance), and other senior officials of YPSA were present during the visit.
