YPSA distributed sewing machines to the fifteen underprivileged rural women who have been given a sewing training course at Banskhali aimed to make them self-reliant through income generating activities. Mostafizur Rahman Chowdhury MP(Banskhali) was present as chief guest in the sewing machine distribution program on 27 August. The chief guest said, “NGOs are playing active role to achieve The Millennium Development Goal (MDG) as well as ‘Vision 2021’ of the Government of Bangladesh”.
Women’s entrepreneurship in Bangladesh and the crucial role women can play in developing the prosperity of this country, he added.
This initiative was taken by YPSA with the support of Bangladesh NGO Forum (BNF) under the program “Empowering women through skill development”.
Representatives from local goverment, NGOs, journalist, political leaders were present in the program.
