YPSA has distributed two Urban Risk Assessment (URA) reports of 7 and 19 no wards under Proyash II project to Administrator of Chattogram City Corporation, ALhaj Khorshed Alam Sujon, Chariman of Chattogram Development Authority, Johurul Alam Dobhash, Chief Town Planner Shahinul Khan, Town Planner Md. Abu Isha Anzari, Chief Executive Officer of Chattogram City Corporation, Mojammel Hoque, Secretary of Chattogram City Corporation, Md. Abu Shahed Chowdhury, District Relief and Rehabilitation Officer (DRRO), Chattogram District, Sojib Kumar Chokroborti, Chief Executive of YPSA, Md. Arifur Rahman and Deputy Director, Social Development of YPSA, Nasim Banu.
To be mentioned here YPSA has organized and facilitated two Urban Risk Assessment workshops with the representatives of Ward Disaster Management Committee (WDMC) and Urban Community Volunteers (UCV) of 7 and 19 no wards. WDMC and UCVs collected information on area based risks and hazards through transit work, KIIs and FGDs and also prepared Risk Reduction Action Plan (RRAP).
YPSA combines all the findings and recommendations on area based DRR and publish two URA reports of 7 and 19 no wards. The aim of prepare and distribution of URA report to City authorities is to follow the findings and recommendations from local people during City level budget allocation for DRR.
During the distribution Project Coordinator of Proyah II project, Sanzida Akter, Project Officer, Ataul Hakim and Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, Syad Mohon were present.
