Lessons Learnt and Planning Workshop on Livelihood Training for Women and Youth - YPSA

A Sharing and Learning Workshop among trainer, trainee and job holders took place in Beuro Bangladesh on 12th January. YPSA has organized the workshop with the support of Save the Children for marginalized women and youth in Chattogram who received livelihood training under YPSA Proyash II project.

The objective of the workshop is to create a platform for the marginalized urban women and youth where they can share their skills and challenges to trainers and job holders. As if based on that trainers and jobholders can suggest and mention possible pathways and opportunities for them.

 

Nasim Banu, Director of Social Development, YPSA gave welcome speech and inaugurated the workshop. She shared the objective of the workshop in welcome speech and requested everyone to respond participatory way to success the workshop objective. She also encouraged the participants to empower themselves by using achieved skills.

Ataul Hakim, Project Officer, YPSA facilitated the event and Sanzida Akter, Project Co-Ordinator, YPSA gave a presentation about livelihood training activity under Proaysh II project. She shared the objective of the activity, achievement and challenges with the participants.

 

After the presentation for group discussion participants divided into four groups of trainer, successful trainee, trainee facing challenges for income generation and job holders. After the discussion, each group presented their opinions through poster presentation.

The workshop ended with open discussion on lessons learnt, challenges and way forward. Also few job placement happened through the successful communication between job holders and trainees at the workshop.
