The closing of the RISE Project was officially scheduled to take place in October & November 2024, at the designated seven individual factory locations like Dhaka, Gazipur and Savar areas. These important meetings brought together a diverse group of attendees, including peer leaders, the factory management team, members of the wellbeing committee, representatives from the YPSA team, Brand representatives, and designated representatives from the RISE team.

During the meetings, YPSA, which served as the implementing partner for the project, delivered a comprehensive presentation. This presentation covered a wide range of topics that were part of the closing meeting’s agenda, including an overview of the project’s impact, the timeline of activities, a detailed account of each task that had been accomplished, a case study highlighting the experiences of a project worker and various other relevant subjects.

Throughout the meetings, stakeholders engaged in discussions that touched upon nearly every aspect of the training that had been conducted as part of the project. They explored the visible effects that the training had produced in the workplace, particularly in terms of improvements and changes observed after the training sessions were completed. The representative from RISE & brands took the opportunity to speak directly with the factory management and peer leaders, gathering their insights and feedback regarding the advantages and benefits of the training that had been implemented. This feedback was invaluable in assessing the overall effectiveness of the project.

Certificate hand over

As the meetings progressed, the factory wellbeing committee took the stage to present the sustainable action plan they had developed in collaboration with the YPSA team. This plan was meticulously crafted to address every potential issue that could arise and be relevant to the project’s objectives over the upcoming one and a half years. It aimed to ensure that the gains achieved through the project would be maintained and built upon in the future.

During this festive occasion, the other partners, including notable figures such as Asma Asha from Brand Kmart and Kamrul Shuvo from RISE, took the time to complement one another on their efforts and express their sincere appreciation for the collaboration that had taken place throughout the project. Additionally, attendees had the opportunity to explore the RISE corner and access map, which provided further information and resources related to the project.

Certificate giving ceremony

This gathering not only marked the successful conclusion of the RISE Project but also reinforced the strong sense of community and partnership that had developed among all participants. The closing ceremony concluded with a celebratory cake cutting and the presentation of certificates to acknowledge the contributions and achievements of those involved in the project.
