The “Children’s Literature Conference, Reading, Children’s Festival and Reunion” was held at the Art Gallery of the Chattogram Shilpakala Academy, organized by the Kids Cultural Institute, on September 12, 2025.
During the event, YPSA’s founder and chief executive, Dr. Md. Arifur Rahman, was honored and recognized for his contributions to the country’s social development and for achieving his PhD degree. The honor was accepted on his behalf by YPSA’s Advocacy Focal, Mohammad Ali Shahin.
The editor of the Daily Azadi, Mr. M. A. Malek, was present as the chief guest. Special guests included Professor Hasina Jakaria Bela, Dean and Director of the Center for Cultural Studies at Chattogram University; renowned poet and researcher Mohammad Habibur Rahman; fiction writer Mohammad Abu Hasan; and playwright and director Saifuddin Saki.
At the beginning of the event, Professor Dr. Sourav Shakhawat, a children’s author and convener of the Children’s Festival and Reunion, gave a welcome speech. He said, “Dr. Md. Arifur Rahman is a distinguished organizer not only in Chattogram but also in the country. We are proud to honor him.”
The “Kids Children’s Literature Award-2025” was also presented at the event. The festival grounds were filled with joy from children’s cultural performances, storytelling, literary readings, debate competitions, performances by child actors, and a creative exhibition of colors and brushes.
The organizing institution stated that the main goal of the Kids Cultural Institute is to foster the creative development of children through joyful education, art, and literary activities.
