YPSA and CMDRR Forum jointly organized workshop on “Climate Change: Cyclone and landslide, Chittagong region perspective” at Shilpokola Academy Seminar hall, Chittagong on 23 February 2012. Community Managed Disaster Risk Reduction (CMDRR) is a forum formed together with 13 NGOs from entire country working for the climate change issues with the support of CORD AID.
Mr. Chowdhury Hasan Mahmud Hasni, Panel mayor of Chittagong City Corporation was present as chief guest while Ms. Shahida Kashem, Ward councilor, Mr. Golam Maula, Director of FOREST, Mr. Ruhul Amin, Sub Director of Fire Service and Civil Defense. Md. Iddris Ali, Professor of Chittagong College and Environmental Scientist, Dr. Nurul Hoq, Director of Chittagong Ma O Shisu Hospital, representatives from Department of Environment, WASA, Educational institutes, NGOs, journalist were present in the program.
