With the slogan of this year “Human Rights 365 — encompasses the idea that every day is a Human Rights Day” YPSA observed United Nations’ Human Rights Day 2014. Human chain and rally jointly organized by Bangladesh Human Rights Commission in Chittagong and different NGOs to mark the day in Chittagong.
The human chain formed in front of Chittagong Press Club followed by a rally which ended in the Andarkilla circle. 30 people of the YPSA-Link up project have participated in the rally.
Every year on 10 December, the human rights community worldwide celebrates the adoption by the UN General Assembly in 1948 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The Declaration has over time been accepted as a contract between governments and their peoples for their fundamental human rights and freedoms to be respected everywhere around the world, without any distinction.
