Mobile court fined 2300 taka for Tobacco advertisement in Cox's Bazar

A mobile court was operated in Cox’s Bazar on 21 June’15 to enforce the law of tobacco control. The court fined 3 shops Tk. 2300.00 for violating law by displaying tobacco advertisements. The court also warned verbally 5 shops and those shops removed tobacco advertisements instantly in presence of mobile court. Mr. Imrul Kayes, Executive Magistrate of Cox’s Bazar DC office has conducted the mobile court.

Mr. Uchapru Maram, Senior Health Education Officer, Md. Shah Alam, Assistant Director of National Consumer Rights protection Affairs, Police representatives, Mr. Suman Dev, Assistant to mobile court and Md. Harun from YPSA were present during the mobile court.
