Green and Clean Campaign by Urban Community Volunteers

A group of 50 Urban Community Volunteers led a Green and Clean Campaign in 7 no. West Sholosohor Ward on 19th May, 2019.  Md. Mobarak Ali; Ward Councilor of 7 no Ward, Chattogram City Corporation inaugurated the campaign by planting trees on Ward Councilor’s Office premises. YPSA provided necessary support to the Urban Community Volunteers under Proyash II project.

Councilor said, “Our community volunteers are doing many activities for raising awareness among the people .We should come forward from our individual level to keep our environment clean, green and safe.  We are hoping that this ward will be an exemplary ward in Chattogram City in disaster risk management.”

Later, volunteers planted trees in different places of the ward and swept the roads and collected garbage and put it into trash bins.

Total of 50 urban community volunteers, members from WDMC of 7 no ward, Proyash II project staffs of YPSA were also present at the program.
