Bangabandhu National Youth Day 2020 Observed

Bangabandhu National Youth Day 2020 was observed by YPSA through various interventions. On the occasion of the 100th Birth Anniversary of the father of nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, this year’s National Youth Day was named Bangabandhu National Youth Day. With the aim of building the golden Bengal of Bangabandhu’s dream, keeping in mind the creativity, self-confidence and ethics of the youth, the theme of Bangabandhu National Youth Day is ‘Call for Mujib Year, Youth Employment’. To mark the day, YPSA has organized several interventions as Youth Dialogue, Special Discussion, Rally and Filming Contest at Social Media. YPSA also participated in various programs at the district and sub district level in coordination with the government.

In Chattogram at YPSA head office, YPSA-CYD (YPSA-Centre for Youth and Development) has organized a special discussion meeting on marking the day. The discussion was moderated by Md. Abdus Sabur, Youth Focal, YPSA. A concept paper on National Youth Day 2020 was read by Rokeya Samia and Mr. Orman Goni. After that, invited participants took part in the discussion session. All the speakers emphasized on the importance of skill, training and decent job of youth. Md. Arifur Rahman, Chief Executive, YPSA said the potentiality of the youth should be utilized. The presence and participation of the youth in political, social and economic activities should be increased. YPSA believes that trained and skilled youth society are indispensable for building a developed Bangladesh. In order to reach developed Bangladesh by 2041, it is necessary to ensure employment and decent working environment for all. YPSA Director (Finance) Palash Chowdhury and other senior officials and employees of YPSA Head Office were present at the discussion meeting.

Meeting at Cox's bazar

In Cox’s Bazar, YPSA organized another discussion meeting on Regional Head Office of YPSA. This discussion was moderated by Mohammed Yousuf, Youth Officer (Training). YPSA’ssenior officials and employees of Cox’s Bazar Regional Head Office were present at the discussion.At the commencement of discussion a concept paper on National Youth Day 2020 was read. After that, invited participants were taken discussion on concept paper. All the speakers emphasized on the importance of skill, training, engagement and decent job of youth.

In Rangunia, Chattogram, YPSA organized a discussion meeting on YPSA-FLM Office. This discussion was moderated by Mr. Joynal Abedin, Field Officer. YPSA-FLM youth volunteers and GMC’s were present at the meeting. At the commencement of discussion, a concept paper on National Youth Day 2020 was read. After that, invited participants discussed the concept paper.

In Sandwip, Chattogram YPSA has organized adiscussion meeting and really on YPSA Sandwip Office premises. This discussion was moderated by Mr. Shahinur Rahman, Field Officer. YPSA-FLM youth volunteers and GMC’s were participated the discussion and rally. Later on, YPSA participated in the central program of Sandwip Upazila Administration.
