USAID evaluation team visited YPSA’s Action for Combating Human Trafficking program at Cox’sbazar during 25-28 May 2013. Mrs. Rumana Amin, Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist, Bangladesh Democracy & Governance Program and Mrs. Sandra Basgall, Chief of Party, Social Impact, Mr. A J M Ifjalul Haque Chowdhury, Consultant (ACT Program Evaluation) and Mr. Naim Mostofa, Local Research Specialist has visited shelter home and talked with the ANIRBAN survivors voice group members, shelter survivors and project staffs.
They met with Lieutenant Colonel Khalekujjaman, 17 Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), Mr. Pritom Kumar Chowdhury, Deputy Director, Department of Social Welfare of Cox’sbazar, Mr. Abu Morshed Chowdhury Khoka, President of Women & Child protection network, Cox’sbazar and different stakeholders.
They also visited Hope foundation, Ma O Shishu hospital, Cheindha to meet with job placed survivors Ms. Salina & Ms. Saleha. They also visited at Teknaf upazilla to meet with the integrated survivors and talked with the 4 integrated survivors including Ms. Yesmin, Mr. Rashid, Mr. Hakim and Mr. Jashim.
YPSA has been implementing the project titled “Promoting Basic Services to Survivors in Trafficking through Integrated Approach” with the support of Winrock International and USAID.
