“More democratization of the national budget formulation process and tax systems through ensuring participation of common people is essential for good governance. Government should take opinions from common people in formulating budget to reflect their hopes and aspirations” speaker said in a round table discussion meeting titled “Good governance and Democratization of budget formulation” held Hotel Saint Martine, Chittagong on 25 December 2014 organized by Democratic Budget Movement (DBM).
Mr. Shahidul Islam, General Secretary of Chittagong District Committee of DBM and program Manager of YPSA presented the keynote paper while Mr. M. Nasirul Hoq, City Editor of Daily Supporbhat Bangladesh presided over the meeting.
Economists, professors of university, civil society members, journalist, businessman and development activists were present in the meeting.
