Ms. Jesmin AKter, Program Officer of YPSA’s Leadership Development Program has been honored as “Joyeeta Woman” for her 20 years outstanding contribution on social development and human rights, in an occasion arranged by Women Affairs Department with the support of Sitakund District Administration at the Sitakund Upazilla Conference Hall on December 9. The program was arranged in observance of the Rokeya Day 2014 and International Women Repression Prevention Fortnight 2014. The Ministry of Women and Children Affairs undertook the program titled ‘Joyeeta’.
In the celebration of Begum Rokeya Day, Upazila Chairman of Sitakund Alhaj S M Al Mamun was present as chief guest while Upazila Nirbahi Officer Muhammad Shahin Imran presided the discussion meeting. Sitakund Women Affaires Officer Ms. Nazmun Nahar moderated the program.
The chief guest distributed crests among five “Joyeeta” women of Sitakund for their extra ordinary contributions in different fields for development of the society in five categories as following 1. Economic success 2. Education and employment 3. Successful mother 4. Prevention of repression 5. Social development. Besides, on the issue of Economic Success, Ms. Rina Akter, YPSA- LDP leader of Syedpur Union of Sitakund Upazila awarded also “ Joyeeta”.
