Representatives from YPSA and Anti-tobacco Media Alliance (ATMA) met mayor of Chittagong City Corporation for allocating budget for implementation of tobacco control law and Tobacco Free Guideline in their upcoming budget. “As a non-smoker my striving will be continued to protect people from secondhand smoke”, said A.G.M. Nasir Uddin, Mayor of Chittagong City Corporation.
Budget would not only be limited to allocation, it would properly spend to achieve expected result. To make the City Corporation smoke-free and make the city clean and healthy, all citizens, media personnel and civil society should come forward to form a social movement. He added.
