YPSA observed Global Handwashing Day on 15 October, 2015 and distributed hygiene kits to 281 families affected by cyclone KOMEN and flood at Mognama Union of Pekua Upazila under Cox’s Bazar district.
Global Handwashing Day is an annual global advocacy day dedicated to increasing awareness and understanding about the importance of hand washing with soap as an easy, effective, and affordable way to prevent diseases and save lives.
Chairman of Mognama Union Shahidul Mostafa Chowdhury was present as chief guest in the program.
Each hygiene kit includes 5 tooth brush, 1 tooth pest, 2 toilet soap, 3 laundry soap, 2 pack sanitary napkin, 1 nail cutter, 1 water container and 2 plastic sandal.
Before the distribution Program Manager of YPSA Md. Harun has described the importance of hand washing. Chief guest thanked to YPSA and Plan international Bangladesh for their initiative.
