A.H.M Abdul Kaiyum, Deputy General Manager (DGM) of PKSF visited YPSA’s Elderly people program at Sayedpur union of Sitakund upazilla under the Chittagong district on 14 January 2018. He talked to the poor vulnerable elderly people and their families and visited Union Elderly People Center. He has distributed assistive device (Wheel chair, crutch and walking stick) to 12 poor elderly people.
“Presently the elderly people are very helpless. Many times they do not get enough support from their family. The government is currently taking various steps for the development of the elderly people. Non-governmental organizations will have to come forward to promote the country’s elderly people. The elderly family members need to be aware of the social security of aged people. YPSA is providing multiple services to the elderly people; one of them is assistive device distribution. Elderly people development and improvement is possible through YPSA initiatives.” said Abdul Kaiyum, DGM of PKSF during his visit.
YPSA Elderly people program focal person Newaz Mahmud, Manager Auditor Md. Mizanur Rahman, Area manager Md. Sayied ALom, Branch manager Sajol Barua and other YPSA Staffs were present during the assistive device distribution time.
