A rally and discussion meeting was organized on the occasion of the International Day of Older Persons on 1 October 2020 at Syedpur Union of Sitakunda Upazila. Theme of the day for this year is “Pandemics: Do They Change How We Address Age and Ageing?”. YPSA arranged another event to mark the day at Sener Hat in Sandwip Island.
In collaboration with Palli Karma Sahayak Foundation (PKSF), YPSA has been working on the issues related to the empowerment of elderly people, to improve their lifestyles and the well being of the older community at Sitakund and Sandwip. Palli Karma Sahayak Foundation or PKSF is a financial institution founded by the Government of Bangladesh to finance rural development.
