Afra Nawar Rahman, Youth Coordinator at YPSA, conducted a session about her 4-day journey of Global Youth Climate Summit 2025 and a master class on leadership. The experience sharing session was chaired by Md Arifur Rahman, Chief Executive, YPSA and attended by organization’s Core Management Team (CMT) with other senior officials.
Afra Nawar Rahman represented Bangladeshi youth at the prestigious Global Youth Climate Summit 2025! which took place on April 2-5, 2025, at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. This summit was an incredible platform to empower young leaders in climate action. This summit was organized by the Global Youth Leadership Center (GYLC). This Summit brings together about 500 youth (offline and online) from across the 39 countries of the world to tackle these urgent challenges.
Arfa demonstrated her 4-day journey, where she presented about the importance of this summit, presented the environmental situation of Belo Horizonte, Culture, food, and Music. In addition, this summit mainly emphasizes biodiversity and it’s effects.
Besides, Afra interpreted an intensive program designed to develop essential leadership skills, including strategic thinking, emotional intelligence, decision-making, and effective communication. It equips current and aspiring leaders with practical tools and insights to inspire teams, drive performance, and lead with confidence in dynamic environments and problem-solving skills, the leadership cycle which includes intervention, observation, and interpretation.
Lastly, Md. Arifur Rahman, Chief Executive, YPSA articulated that from 1992, YPSA accumulated with UNFCCC, and YPSA has been implementing a lot of projects to protect the environment and disaster management.
