YPSA organized two safeguarding awareness sessions at Chittagong University in collaboration with the Chittagong University Debating Society and the Chittagong University Career Club, on 21 August 2025. Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences Dr. Md. Enayet Ullah Patwary graced the event and highlighted the importance of safeguarding awareness in fostering a secure and supportive campus environment.
The sessions were facilitated by Mishkat Hossain, YPSA’s Associate Field Officer, and focused on key aspects of safeguarding. Topics included the definition of safeguarding, identifying key risks, relevant statistics, legal frameworks, and the roles individuals play in creating a safe environment. Participants were also informed about where to contact for support.
Tushar Kumar Roy, YPSA’s Project Manager, and Rased, a Project Manager from Brac, were also present.
Members of both the Debating Society and the Career Club actively participated in the program, engaging in discussions to raise awareness, promote safe practices, and cultivate a responsible campus culture.
