YPSA recently hosted Dr. Nilufar Kamorez Jaha, a renowned public health consultant and maternal health specialist, at its head office for a strategic exchange. The visit featured a comprehensive session attended by YPSA’s core & senior management team, including Founder and Chief Executive Dr. Md Arifur Rahman, Palash Chowdhury (Director of Finance), Mohammad Shahjahan (Director-KM4D), Nasim Banu (Director of Social Development), Kazi Asgor Mahmood (Assistant Director-Economic Development), and Shyamashree Das (Secretariat of Chief Executive) and other staffs. The dialogue focused on YPSA’s extensive health-related implementation work, bridging the gap between grassroots action and sustainable public health policy.
During the enthusiastic session, YPSA officials detailed the organization’s diverse health portfolio, which spans from maternal and adolescent health to the rigorous safety standards required for heavy industrial workers. The discussion also delved into sexual and reproductive health (SRHR), nutrition, water and sanitation (WASH), and specialized humanitarian health responses and many more.
Drawing on her vast experience in developing essential clinical training materials, Dr. Nilufar provided invaluable feedback on optimizing these programs. She shared expert insights on strengthening the sustainability of YPSA’s health-centered initiatives, offering a roadmap to further enlighten and evolve the organization’s contribution to the national health landscape of Bangladesh.
