The Association for Prevention of Septic Abortion Bangladesh (BAPSA) successfully concluded a three-day Training of Trainers (ToT) session at the Hotel Tower Inn, Chattogram, stated as “Gender-Responsive, Adolescent-Friendly, and Culturally Sensitive Comprehensive SRHR.”

Orchestrated by the SRHR project team leader Shamima Chowdhury and a distinguished panel of experts, including eminent gynecologist Dr. Nilufar Begum, the workshop delivered profound insights into the intersection of clinical health and social resilience. The curriculum transitioned from national and global health analytics to the practicalities of addressing Gender-Based Violence (GBV), adolescent nutrition, and reproductive rights through a culturally nuanced lens.

The program culminated in a glorious closing ceremony attended by esteemed leaders of the development sector, including Dr. Md. Arifur Rahman (Founder and Chief Executive, YPSA), Dr. Shamsun Nahar Chowdhury (Management Advisor, YPSA), Mohammed Farouk (Deputy Chief Executive, BAPSA), and Alhajj Rafique Ahmed (Chief Executive, Mamata).

This initiative serves as a critical strategic precursor to the broader SRHR Bangladesh project, which aims to provide essential sexual and reproductive health benefits to more than 650,000 residents within the Chittagong Metropolitan wards. By equipping trainers with advanced behavioral facts and gender-sensitive methodologies, BAPSA-YPSA and Mamata has solidified its commitment to fostering a resilient and informed health infrastructure for the region’s youth and reproductive population.
