Assistant Logistics Officer

YPSA has been implementing the project “ECW-MYRP-II both in the Rohingya and Host Communities in the Cox’s Bazar. This is a Consortium Project and Save the Children is the Grantee and Consortium Lead of the project. Subject to Approval of the project, YPSA is going to expand its education activities at different Camps at Teknaf & Ukhiya Upazila in Cox’s Bazar. YPSA is committed to accessing more Adolescent Girls to implement a Community-Based Learning Facility (CBLF) as well as a Learning Centre (LC) under ECW MYRP II Top-Up Funding up to February 2025.

Job Title: Assistant Logistics Officer

Duration:  Up to February 2025

Job Responsibilities:

  • Clear understanding of logistics, stock maintenance, procurement policy, and warehouse management.
  • To ensure receiving all materials or goods from suppliers and dispatch materials from the warehouse by maintaining all necessary documents.
  • To ensure manage the fleet and provided vehicle support accordingly to project staff.
  • To ensure make movement plan accordingly as per the project team’s requirements.
  • To ensure the logistics related to donors and YPSA’s compliance, policies, rules, and regulations in the implementation part of the project.
  • Properly monitor inventory levels, tracking shipments, and ensuring that all products are accounted for and properly stored
  • Timely ensure the procurement maintains all essential documents as per procurement policy and compliance issues.
  • Prepare necessary documents and ensure the procurement committee and sub-procurement committee sign.
  • Coordinating the movement of goods and materials, including arranging to ship, tracking shipments, and managing freight costs.
  • properly maintaining stocks and arranging and rearranging all the materials and goods at the warehouse.
  • To ensure all the distribution processes at the camp and host community level.
  • To ensure assets and equipment are registered and maintained properly.
  • To ensure that all goods and services meet the organization’s quality standards, and address any issues that arise.
  • To ensure the quality of logistics and administrative issues by maintaining records.
  • To ensure the requirement of all logistics activities and administrative-related issues
  • To do other duties as per organization/project needs and authorized by the supervisor.
  • To ensure that all procurement and logistics activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and policies, and address any compliance issues that arise.
  • Keep updated at Camp and Office level stock and proper documentation.
  • Support different projects (ECW, EIE, and CP) as a logistic Officer 100%

Competencies: Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Skilled in procurement, inventory management, and other logistics functions.
  • Good Team player with social and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Bangla
  • Proficient in Computer Operations, MS Office Applications including typing preferably in English and Bengali both, E-mail & Internet.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement and logistics support.

Educational Qualification:

BBA/MBA in Supply chain Management/Finance/Accounting/Marketing/Management will be given preference.

Monthly consolidated Salary: 38,000/-
