Outreach Supervisor  

YPSA (Young Power in Social Action) <www.ypsa.org> is an organization for sustainable development working in greater Chittagong division including Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) since 1985 (International Youth Year). YPSA is going to implement a project in the various District in Bangladesh “(Harm reduction and Opioid substitution therapy (OST) Service package for male and female People Who Inject Drugs (PWID)”, supported by ASP & icddr, b.

Project duration: 01 December, 2021 to 30 June, 2022 (Possibility to extension)

Position: Outreach Supervisor

Job responsibilities:

  • Monitor and supervise the program and finance activities of the service centre; Monitor and control the allocated budget.
  • Prepare monthly work plan for the service centre and implement the activities as per approved Work plan. Provide Support to line manager in revising Quarterly Work Plan for unachieved activity as well as any revision as per requirement.
  • Prepare the progress reports both monthly and quarterly and ensure timely submission. Keep proper record & prepare monthly monitoring report.
  • Assess the overall quarterly clinic performance and report to the respective line supervisor.
  • Analyze the client flow both in the field and clinic levels and advise Peer Educator of related field and help implement steps for improving client flow both field and clinic especially when there is a low performance.
  • Facilitate the outreach/field program activities and take initiative for continuous assessment of different locations and target population.
  • Prepare duty roster for outreach/ field program and ensure that the fieldworks are held properly and regularly.
  • Closely monitor and assess the performance of the Peer Educators and ensure the effective and efficient use of resources.
  • Physically verify the Petty cash and health products position regularly.
  • Maintain and properly allocates fixed assets of the service centre
  • Maintain communication and coordination with STI clinic at GoB health facility; Liaise with other HIV/AIDS prevention organizations at local level and update the activities following instruction from head office and participate in workshops, seminars and other activities.
  • Be aware of the public and media attention on STI/HIV/AIDS issues, including sexual health prevention, treatment, care and support and maintain a positive and highly professional approach in any contact with the general public.
  • Organize monthly staff meetings giving prior notice to all staff.
  • Any other duties that may be assigned by Management.

Additional requirements

  • Age limit up to 40 years
  • Good knowledge and application of Microsoft office programs
  • Ability to interact professionally with PWID/DUs population.
  • Ability to exercise flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities
  • Ability to perform independently.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and oral and demonstrate good report writing skills
  • Demonstrate organization and project management skills
  • Ability to plan, evaluate and meet deadlines and good analytical skills with an eye for details

Experience:

  • Good knowledge in the utilization of Microsoft office programs
  • At least 2 year(s) experience on HIV prevention program with KPs is preferable.

Educational Qualification:

  • Bachelor in any discipline from a recognized Institution (Social Science will be Preferred)

Monthly consolidated Salary: Tk. 20,000 (Monthly)

Dhaka, Cox’s Bazar, Jhalokathi, Jamalpur, Narsingdhi, Tangail, Chuadanga, Kushita, Noagaon, Rangpur, Sylhet.
