Project Officer (Capacity Building) – Youth RISE project

YPSA is going to implement a project titled, “Youth are Resilient, Interconnected, Socially Cohesive and Engaged (Youth RISE) ” at Teknaf Upazila in Cox’s Bazar. YPSA will implement the project with the support from International Rescue Committee (IRC).

Job Summary:

The Project Officer (Capacity Building) will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and evaluating capacity-building initiatives for the Youth RiSE project under YPSA (Young Power in Social Action) at Teknaf. This position involves working closely with project stakeholders, youth participants, and community partners to enhance their skills, knowledge, and capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Capacity Building Strategy:
    • Develop a comprehensive capacity-building strategy aligned with the goals of the Youth RiSE project.
    • Identify training needs and gaps within the project team and target communities.
  1. Training Program Development:
    • Design and develop training programs and materials tailored to the needs of project participants.
    • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure the relevance and effectiveness of training content.
  1. Training Delivery:
    • Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and capacity-building activities for project participants.
    • Ensure the active participation and engagement of target groups in training programs.
  1. Monitoring and Evaluation:
    • Implement mechanisms to assess the impact of capacity-building initiatives.
    • Collect and analyze data to measure the effectiveness of training programs.
    • Prepare regular reports on the progress of capacity-building activities.
  1. Collaboration and Partnerships:
    • Collaborate with external partners, trainers, and experts to enhance the scope and quality of capacity-building initiatives.
    • Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders involved in capacity-building efforts.
  1. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of training sessions, participant feedback, and other relevant data.
    • Prepare comprehensive reports on the outcomes and impact of capacity-building activities.

Educational Qualification:

Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., social sciences, development studies, monitoring and evaluation).

Experience:

  • At least 02 years Proven experience in project management, specifically in capacity-building initiatives.
  • Written and spoken fluency in Bangla, English is essential.
  • Advanced Excel and Microsoft Word abilities. Computer Knowledge is a must (MS Word, Excel – typing Bangla and English).
  • Ability to prepare and lead report compilation.
  • Ability to communicate in the local dialect (Chittagonian Dialect).
  • Ability to write clear and concise reports case stories in English and Bangla.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Knowledge and Competences:

  • Strong facilitation and training skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of issues related to youth empowerment and development.
  • Familiarity with relevant monitoring and evaluation tools and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in data analysis software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability on report writing.

Monthly Consolidated Salary  : BDT 56,546/=
