YPSA starts emergency food distribution to newly displaced Rohingya people

YPSA has started emergency food distribution to newly displaced Rohingya people who are living in a temporary shelter in Ukhia Upazila, Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh. New influx is around 500000 and 60% of them are children. These people are in emergency need of food, shelter, hygiene and sanitation support.
At first YPSA emergency response team has enlisted hundreds of Rohingya people at the Moinnar Ghona, Balukhali, Ukhiya and gave them token to collect food from the emergency food distribution camp.
With the support of World Food Programme (WFP), YPSA distributed food grain to 1000 families on 20 September, 2017. Each family received a bag of rice containing 25 kilogram of rice.
