2 groups of forest dependent people in Mirsharai Upazila received 20 million Taka (10 million each group) from YPSA-BSRM Khet Khamar Project at the office of Upazila Nirbahi Officer on 25 February 2014. Mr. Muhammad Ashraf Hossain, UNO, Mr. Fazle Elahi Oli, Upazila Assistant Commissioner, Mr. Iftekhar Hossain, Project Officer, YPSA and Mr. Ujjal De, Organizer of Forest dependent people deliver their speech while Mr. Shahdath Hossain, Program officer of YPSA moderated the cheque distribution program.
Helping farming families will increase production in a sustainable way, and sell more crops, is the most effective way to reduce hunger and poverty over the long term. In order to organize farmers and improving their livelihood, YPSA with the support of BSRM distributes small scale funds to the farming families living in coastal and hillside areas.
