YPSA observed National Legal Aid Day-2015 at different sub-districts of Chittagong and Cox’sbazar. The theme of this year is “Door open for getting legal aid from the government.” In Rangunia, a colorful rally and discussion meeting were organized marking the day. The rally paraded major streets of the town and ended followed by a discussion meeting. Upazila Nirbari Officer Saful Islam Mazumder was present as chief guest in the meeting.
Beside this, YPSA observed National Legal Aid Day in other sub-districts like Fatickchari, Sandwip, Ramu, Kutubdia and Moheshkhali with the support of National Legal Aid Services Bangladesh.
28th April has been declared to be the National Legal Aid day since 2013 and being spontaneously observed through various awareness generating program both in national and local level every year.
