The theme for the 2016 Global Hand washing Day is “Make Hand washing a Habit!” The theme emphasizes the importance of hand washing with soap and clean water which drastically reduce outbreak of disease. YPSA arranged discussion meeting and rally at Kutubdia Upazila, Cox’s Bazar to mark the day.
Global Hand Washing Day is celebrated on October 15, 2016. It is a campaign to motivate and mobilize millions around the world to wash their hands with soap. The campaign is dedicated to raising awareness of handwashing with soap as a key approach to disease prevention.
The discussion meeting was held at Kabi Jashim Uddin High School in Aliakbor Dail Union Parishad which was chaired by Mr. Md. Anisur Rahman, Head Master of Kabi Jashim Uddin High School. Mr. Nazrul Islam Bulbul, Field Coordinator, CWW and Mr. Shantano Roy, Project Officer, CWW. Mr. Nur Mohammed, Project Manager of YPSA delivered their speech in the meeting.
