YPSA observed the International Migrants Day 2020 in Chattogram and Cox’s Bazar with the collaboration of district administrations. In celebration of International Migrants Day, YPSA has taken various initiatives in its working areas as participating rallies, attending virtual discussion, quiz competition and participating virtual migration information fair.
Especially, YPSA provided technical support to DEMO, Chattogram on arranging a virtual information fair and online meeting. In online meeting district administration, related stakeholders, NGO representative, Media and migrants workers were attended. The virtual information fair attracts audiences in more. This online information fair are gathered different stakeholders information in a place. Moreover, YPSA has jointly arranged a healthy rallies and discussions on marking the International Migrants Day 2020 with the Rangunia and Sandwip Upazila Administrations. These rallies and discussions was chaired by UNO of respective upazila’s. The youth volunteers and grievance management committee were attended these events with followed the health hygiene. At discussion participants were emphasized on skill before going abroad. The participants said that if we become skilled and go abroad then we will be able to earn more money. This process also contributes on the theme of International Migrants Day 2020. The theme of this year is মুজিববর্ষের আহ্বান দক্ষ হয়ে বিদেশ যান.

The Chattogram District Employment and Manpower Office has awarded to YPSA on the occasion of International Migrants Day 2020 on December 18.
