YPSA CEVEC Consortium organized staff orientation responding to the impact of Covid-19

Orientation meeting

On 31st October 2021, YPSA CEVEC consortium organized a day long orientation on Responding to the impact of Covid-19 (RIC) in Cox’s Bazar & Chattogram (Sitakund) at Conference room, YPSA HRDC, Cox’s Bazar Campus, Paner Chora, Ramu, Cox’s Bazar.

Md. Arifur Rahman, Chief Executive, YPSA inaugurated the orientation Program. Palash Kumar Choudhury, Director, Finance, attended as special guest. Mohammad Shahjahan, Focal person, YPSA CEVEC Consortium shared project summary and modality. Ms. Khaleda Begum, Deputy Director of YPSA & Team leader of YPSA CEVEC Consortium shared project objectives and strategy. Mr. Nazmul Barat Rony, Program Coordinator (Training & Campaign) of YPSA CEVEC Consortium has moderated the program.

Speech by Arifur Rahman

In inauguration, YPSA Chief Executive Md. Arifur Rahman  said YPSA has long been preparing to fight violent extremism in its continuation, YPSA has taken up projects to prevent extremism and violence in Chittagong and Cox’s Bazar areas since 2016. Any work can be done very easily if there is prior preparation. YPSA started operations in this working area soon after Covid-19. YPSA observed that as a result of Covid-19, the world has lost many of its people, and the poor have become poorer. Covid-19 is still going on but its impact will remain for a long time . this orientation meeting would help all consortium staff to enhance knowledge on responding to the impact of Covid-19 (RIC) in Cox’s Bazar & Chattogram, Sitakund.

He suggested all to extend support to make this orientation in a participatory way and successful.

All staff of YPSA CEVEC Consortium has participated in this orientation.  After the Project presentation an open discussion was held and the session facilitated by Mr. Nazmul Barat Rony – Program Coordinator (Training & Campagn) of YPSA CEVEC Consortium. Mr. Banaratna Tanchangya –  M&E Officer of YPSA CEVEC Consortium shared workpaln and result framework.

A final closing speech was delivered by Ms. Khaleda Begum – Deputy Director of YPSA.
