A five-day residential Training of Trainers (ToT) for the project staffs on “Organizational Management, Leadership Development, and Club Registration Process” organized by the YPSA CEVEC project from 16th to 20th October 2022 at YPSA HRDC Cox’s Bazar Campus, Ramu under the project title ‘Community Engagement in Countering Violent Extremism in Chattogram Division’ funded by GCERF (Global Community Engagement and Resilience Fund).
The training was inaugurated by Md. Arifur Rahman, Chief Executive of YPSA. In inaugurating speech Md. Arifur Rahman, he encouraged the participants very positively and energized them to learn in different aspects, which is very model for others. He said that the issue of the CEVEC project was very much similar to his thought. The modalities was different from the previous and current projects. Currently, the CEVEC project would work on focusing sustainability on the PVE issue and he believed that YPSA CEVEC team could implement this project successfully. He said we have a common identity which is we are the members of YPSA Family. He mentioned, skill is not enough for every staff but commitment, sincerity also needed. In addition, he mentioned every staff should respectful and follow the policies of YPSA and compliances of Donors.
Mohammad Shahjahan, Head KM4D,Deputy Director of YPSA and Focal Point of YPSA CEVEC project delivered his welcome speech during the inauguration session and The inauguration session conducted by Ms. Khaleda Begum, Deputy Director of YPSA, Regional Head of YPSA Cox’s Bazar and Team Leader of YPSA CEVEC project.
During the training, Mr. Hasan Masud, Deputy Director of the Social Welfare Department of Cox’s Bazar, Mohammad Johir Abbas, District Officer of the Department of Cooperative Society of Cox’s Bazar, and Mr. Abdus Salam Sikder, Deputy Director of the Youth Department of Cox’s Bazar has conducted sessions on the registration process of their respective department. And showed interest on this innovative project as well ideas. They committed to provide support as and when required by the program participants.
Mohammed Shahidull Islam, Assistant Director of YPSA and Head of Rohingya Response of YPSA discussed the modality of the project and the background of the project in this training.
Safeguarding Focal of YPSA Mr. Abdus Sabur discussed the Child and Gender Safeguarding policy of YPSA which is mandatory to know to all staff of the organization. The focal person on disability issue Mr. Ahsan Ullah Sarkar discussed Disability Inclusion, participants were very much interested to know more about Inclusion issues.Ms. Roksana Begum, Assistant Finance Director of YPSA discussed YPSA’s financial management policy, organizational financial management, and terrorist financing.
Five days long ToT sessions were conducted by Khaleda Begum – Deputy Director, Regional Head of YPSA, Cox’s Bazar and Team Leader of YPSA CEVEC project, Mr. Nazmul Barat Rony – Program Coordinator (Training and Advocacy), Mohammad Harun – Program Coordinator (Field Operation), Bana Ratna Tanchangya – M&E Officer accordingly. The participant of the training were Upazilla Managers and Field Associate officers of the YPSA CEVEC project.
In the closing session Ms. Roksana Begum – Assistant Director Finance, Mr. Nazmul Barat Rony – Program Coordinator (Training and Advocacy), Mohammad Harun – Program Coordinator (Field Operation), Bana Ratna Tanchangya – M&E Officer, among the participants Mohammad Asgor Hossain Chowdhury and Rozina Akter have expressed their opinions on 05 days long ToT and in closing speech. Ms. Khaleda Begum thanked to all for their active participation and their commitment to accomplish the program at field level maintaining quality and keep up the Good Image of CEVEC and YPSA.
