Mr. David Bugden, Principal Coordinator of the Inter Sector Coordination Group (ISCG) in Cox’s Bazar, conducted a follow-up visit with Ms. Wahida Begum and her family, on September 23, 2025. Ms. Wahida, a learner at the Golap-8 Learning Center and a Youth Club member, had previously taken on the symbolic role of Principal Coordinator, ISCG, for a day during the International Day of the Girl (IDG) 2024 program.
The visit was a key activity under the “Youth from Host Communities & Rohingya Camps in Cox’s Bazar as Agents of Change (YHCRCCAC)” project, with technical support from Plan International Bangladesh and funding from BMZ, Germany.
The primary purpose of Mr. Bugden’s visit was to observe Ms. Wahida’s current situation and see the project’s impact firsthand. The team’s itinerary included:
- A review of Ms. Wahida Begum’s and her family’s well-being.
- Observation of Youth Club and Learning Center activities at the Golap-8 facility.
- An interactive discussion with learners from the Golap-8 Youth Club.
- A meeting with the teachers of Moheshkhalia Para Government Primary School, where Ms. Wahida had previously studied. During this meeting, the team discussed critical issues such as student attendance and challenges related to migration.
