A three-member delegation from YPSA has departed for Belém, Brazil, to participate in the 30th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP30). The delegation is led by Dr. Md. Arifur Rahman, Founder and Chief Executive of YPSA. Other members include Mr. Mohammad Shahjahan, Director, and Ms. Afra Nawar Rahman, Youth Coordinator at YPSA.

YPSA will represent Bangladesh on the global stage to advocate for Loss and Damage Justice, Gender Equality, Disability Inclusion, Youth Leadership, and Climate Adaptation. The delegation will actively participate in COP30 side events, press conferences, and discussion sessions, sharing Bangladesh’s experiences, achievements, and challenges in addressing climate change.

Dr. Arifur Rahman stated, “Bangladesh is among the most climate-vulnerable countries in the world, but we are not just victims — we are also contributors to the solutions. Through our participation in COP30, we aim to strengthen inclusive climate action and ensure that no one is left behind.”

YPSA’s participation in COP30 will help highlight Bangladesh’s local adaptation efforts, promote the inclusion of persons with disabilities and marginalized communities, and amplify youth voices in climate leadership at the international level.

Young Power in Social Action (YPSA) is a sustainable development organization established in 1985, working for sustainable development, human rights, education, health, environment conservation, and climate change adaptation.
