BATA meet state minister Sahara Khatun

A delegation team of “Bangladesh Anti Tobacco Allaince (Bangladesh Tamak Birodhi Jote-BATA)” met honorable Home Minister Mrs. Sahara Khatun MP on her government residence on 9 May.

The delegation team request her to take initiative for create smoke free area all police stations, which is smoke free by law. And the coming WNTD is theme on based on women and tobacco. The delegation team also informs her about tobacco taxation and law amendment issues, which is ongoing by NBR and MoH.

Mr Arifur Rahman, CEO of YPSA handed over the recommendation letter to the Home minister.

Mr Abu Naser Khan, Chairman of Poribesh Bachaon Andolon (Banglades Environment Movement-POBA) handed over the tobacco control related publication to the Home Minister.
