On the occasion of Victory Day of Bangladesh, YPSA and Feni Himan Development Foundation (FHDF) arranged an Anti Tobacco Campaign at different places in Feni on 16 December.
Stickers, handbills and other promotional materials displaying the harmful effects of tobacco uses were distributed to mass people during the campaign.
IEC materials includes effects of tobacco use that leads most commonly to diseases affecting the heart, liver and lungs, with smoking being a major risk factor for heart attacks, strokes, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) (including emphysema and chronic bronchitis), and cancer (particularly lung cancer, cancers of the larynx and mouth, and pancreatic cancer).
Advocate Jahangir Alam Nantu, General Secretary of FHDF, Mr. Kamal Hossain from YPSA were present in the campaign.
