“Feni district mainly Sonagaji, and Fulgaji areas have been facing severe river erosion over the last few years. Government took initiative to rehabilitate the land less people here. Government officials and related departments are now more conscious to give lands to the landless families. I am aware about the YPSA’s activities. I will try my best to make positive changes regarding the land allocation practice.” Said Md. Humayon Kabir Khondoker, District Commissioner of Feni in a meeting jointly organized by YPSA and Feni Human Development Foundation (FHDF) with support from Displacement Solutions at the Conference room of DC office, Feni on 8 December’12.
Mohammed Munsor Uddin, UNO of Sadar & Sonagazi Upazilla presided over the meeting while Md. Humayon Kabir Khondoker, D.C of Feni was present as chief guest. AZM Sharif Hossain, NDP of DC office-Feni, Shashoti Shil, Assistant Commissioner of DC office-Feni, Md. Mohsin Mridha, Assistant Commissioner of DC office-Feni, Suborna Sarker, Revenue Deputy collector of Feni, Abu Taher, President of SUPRO, former president of Feni press club and Staff reporter of daily Prothom Alo & Daily Star were present as special guest in the meeting.
