YPSA organized a meeting with Chandpur Municipality on “Tobacco Control Law and Implementation of Smoke-free Guideline” on 04 September 2014 at the conference room of Chandpur Municipality with the support of CTFK. Md. Nasir Uddin Ahmd, Mayor of Chandpur Municipality was present as the chief guest while Eng. Md. Delwor Hossen, President, Chandpur Muktijodda Foundation presided over the meeting.
Mr. Md. Abul Kalam Bhuiyan, Secretary of Chandpur Municipality was present as a special guest. Md. Nazmul Haider, Program Officer, Smoke Free Project of YPSA has shared Tobacco control law, Smoke free guideline and possible areas of allocated budget implementation of smoke free guide line.
The Mayor has said that chandpur Municipality would implement of Smoke Free Guideline through their allocated budget and it would jointly implement tobacco control law with district administration as well. Councilors, Coalition members, representatives from civil society, journalist were participated in the meeting.
Mr. Didarul Alam, associate Program Officer, Smoke Free Project of YPSA facilitated the meeting.
