A meeting of Tobacco Control Taskforce Committee of Brahmanbaria held on 29 May 2016 at the Conference Room of DC office. Dr. Md. Mosharrof Hossain, Deputy Commissioner of Brahmanbaria district and President of Taskforce committee has presided over the meeting. Dr. Hasina Akther, Civil Surgeon of Comilla and Secretary of Tobacco Control Taskforce committee, other taskforce members like – Deputy Director, Islamic Foundation, Deputy Director, BRTA, Additional SP, and others taskforce members has attended the meeting. The present tobacco control situation, World No Tobacco Day celebration, conduct mobile court violation of TC law and the status of enforcement of TC law were discussed.
The following decisions have been taken in the meeting
- It was decided that two mobile courts will be conducted
- DC office will issue a letter to all UNO of Brahmanbaria district for operating mobile court on TC Law and form Upazilla Taskforce committee
- It was also decided that Civil Surgeon office will issue a letter to all clinic & Hospital, to display no smoking signage for comply the TC Law.
